Oodles of Online Fun!

With schools closed for the foreseeable future celebrities and organisations have come together to provide hours worth of online activities for children and young people. Work out with Joe wicks in the morning, take a virtual tour of the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in the afternoon then learn to ‘Keep Cooking and Cary on’ with Jamie Oliver! Below are details and links to a variety of different activities you can do with kids online.

Start you day with a work out!
Body coach and fitness expert, Joe Wicks is whipping the nation into shape. He films a new PE session at 9.am each morning, but you can catch up any time on his YouTube channel: The Body Coach TV

For younger viewers their good pal Andy is taking some time out from travelling back in time and is instead travelling around the world and bringing us animal inspired fitness! Go to BBC iPlayer any time to watch Andy’s Wild Workouts

Maths, Science History!

Explorer and animal whisper Steve Backshall is host live question and answer session for children .
Find him on his Official Facebook Page. at 9.30am every day.

After that you can learn some science with Maddie Moate who is live on her YouTube Channel at 11am every weekday.

For History head over to BBC iPlayer where there are 4 season of the hysterically historical show Horrible Histories.

For a child friend maths lesson check out The Maths Factor website where celebrity mathematician Carol Vordamon makes learning fun.

The Arts!

Learn some music theory with Myleene Klass and her two young daughters over on her YouTube Channel.

For a fun and whimsical English lesson head over the the World of David Walliams where he is uploading audios of his books for you to listen for free!

To appreciate all the arts as well as some more science and history, check out this helpful article with links to virtual tours of 12 World Class Museums you can visit online. It includes the Louvre and NASA!

Finally, as a special quarantine treat, the National Theatre are giving full length west end plays completely free! New ones added on Thursdays at 9pm, however check out previously uploaded plays on their YouTube channel any time.
